FRIDAY
I went to my sister’s Friday night to watch a movie, have dinner, and help her dye her hair. So while I was dying her hair, she was dying Ryan’s hair.
We’ve decided that we’re going to call Ryan by a different name now. He is now going to be know as Tiger, or
.
We had a lot of fun. Of course, a lot of the fun was at
’s expense. We spend a lot of time picking on him, but it’s only cuz we love him so much… and cuz it’s just so easy.
Michelle made dinner and later on we watched The Princess Diaries. The movie wasn’t half bad. It had it’s funny moments, but it was more than predictable, and at times completely unbelievable.
Seriously… the girl gets told she’s a princess and she’s like, “Yeah… no thanx. I rather enjoy being invisible and having no life.” Then she runs out of the house and tries to hide from the world. What 16 year old girl wouldn’t sell their family into slavery just for the opportunity to be a princess?
Anyways… then on my way home I stopped at the 7-11 for gas and had a very scary experience, as in I was almost murdered. Ok, this is what went down. I’m walking into the store from the gas pump and this weird, kind of mentally challenged, guy opens the door for me and then stares and me for like 5 minutes too long.
I was extremely creeped out!
Then, he’s at the register when I walk up, and I’m trying to keep my distance and avoid eye contact. He takes forever, then when he is finished, he walks out the door and stands on the outside of the doors staring inside at me while I’m at the register.
I tried not to look directly at him, but I could see him just standing outside the doors staring in at me and I was freaking out. Now, cashier lady is taking forever because I apparently paid with an enormous bill (a $5) and she has to break it by getting money out of those weird safes under the counter.
It’s seriously taking her an eternity to ring me up, but I’m not minding because I’m hoping that guy will walk away. He SO does not walk away and just stands there in the doorway staring at me.
So I go to leave and he opens the door for me and looks at me like I’m dinner and he hasn’t eaten in days. My vehicle is at the last pump, way on the other end, and there is NO other car anywhere near mine… yet as I walk to my vehicle, he is following me.
This guys is clearly insane and large enough to do plenty of damage to me and some friends. So I start walking faster. Well, wouldn’t you know it, he starts walking faster too. As I get into my vehicle, he’s right behind me and yells to me to wait.
Like a huge DUMBASS I actually stop and see what he wants. I am now sitting in my seat with the door open and he is IN my doorway. He’s asking me to give him a ride downtown.
It’s 1am and I’m like 20 miles from downtown and just trying to go home. This freak is standing in my doorway, again looking at me like I’m dinner, and he will not take no for an answer.
I finally had to raise my voice a bit and give him the “go to hell” look before he backed up, then I shut my door, locked it, and drove off. It was seriously spooky. I just know I’m going to hear on the news about someone being murdered by some scary man they picked up at the 7-11.
And that was my Friday night.
SATURDAY
Today I got up at 7 and went to get my haircut downtown. Then I went to Xoch’s to help her go get her U-Haul so we could move her to her new apartment. I even got to drive the U-Haul truck, which by the way, was no fun.
It totally ruins my fantasy of owning a semi (just the front, no trailer) and using it as my regular every day vehicle. I’m going to assume that they are way more fun to drive than U-Haul trucks.
Her moving went very smoothly, although it was a thousand degrees outside. She had lots of people (five of us) there to help her move and everyone was really nice. It was not stressful in the least bit.
The loading of the truck went by pretty fast, but then when it was finished we had some drama. We couldn’t find the key to the truck. The apartment was empty, yet no key to be found. We were worried that it got loaded in the truck with the boxes, since I had put the keys on top of one of the boxes.
So while Scott and I climbed into the truck, and over all of the furniture, to move around boxes and look for the key, Xoch was upstairs in the apartment freaking out. Eventually she found the keys in one her bags. She figured she must have moved the keys and not remembered.
At the new apartment, the unloading went by really fast, and then we went to drop off the U-Haul. There was some drama involved there. Scott and Reedy nearly blacked out from heat exhaustion, so we had to take care of them first. Shelly was a bit sick too, but she wasn’t as bad as the two boys.
Anyways… so Scott couldn’t drive the U-Haul back to the place because he was sick. So I drove it back with Fernando, and Xoch followed us. After all of that was done, we went to Art’s BBQ for lunch. It was pretty yummy food.
After lunch I drove Fernando back to his car, then went home. I took a nap for two hours, then got up and got dressed and showered.
I went to pick up my sister (Michelle), her boyfriend, and Liz at Michelle’s house and then we went to dinner at Razoo’s. I forget that they have the yummiest fries and very good chicken fingers.
We met up with
and Eric there. We had dinner and some drinks. Michelle ordered this LARGE fishbowl drink and we all had little bits of it. I also had something called a Worm Burner, which was pretty dang strong. It had 151 and Everclear in it, but amazingly didn’t taste too much like cheap hairspray.
After dinner we went bowling and it turns out that being loud and obnoxious must run in the family. Michelle and I were cheering for everyone and probably bursting some eardrums. The teams were set up as the homos against the straights.
The homos really only had three people, and one straight guy willing to pretend to be homo. The straights have five people. Wouldn’t you know it, we still won the first game. The second and third games weren’t as easy. The straights had more points than us, but they always had more people. If you dropped their lowest scoring person, I think we would have won.
Bowling was lots of fun, but I was very disappointed in the light show and music that they had going on after 11:30. Basically they turned off most of the lights, turned on a few blacklights (but none on the actual lanes) and turned up the top 40 music. Lame.
We picked on poor
a lot. We were making kissy faces, among other things, at him and Eric, all night. It was like being in elementary school.
After bowling we dropped Joe off back at home, and then went to Rainbow. It was about 1am by this time. I couldn’t get Michelle or Liz to do any dancing. I tried to convince Liz to dance with one of my Lesbian friends, but she wasn’t having any of that.
There’s a boy that I have been seeing out a lot lately. He’s really cute and Latino. I’ve seen him looking at me lately, but I haven’t made any moves, and neither has he. I finally went to talk to him last night and we danced twice. I gave him my number and he called me later that night/morning.
Yay for me! And he had perfect timing with his call. I had already had breakfast with Michelle and Liz, and dropped them off at home. So we talked for about an hour and we had a very nice conversation. I’m very anxious to speak with him again. He said he’d call me again today.
That was my Saturday night.
SUNDAY
I have nothing to report, so far, on today. It’s been a day of sleeping. I’ve been in bed all day and in and out of sleep until I finally got out of bed at 2:50.
What to do now?
