SATURDAY
So what’s been going on this weekend? It’s been a lot of nothing and a lot of something. I spent a lot of my time relaxing and napping, and a lot out dancing.
Saturday morning I spent the day doing pretty much doing nothing. I also slept until 2:30. I was pretty damn tired. You know, right now I just can’t remember what I did during the afternoon. I guess maybe I didn’t do anything?
So Saturday night I chatted on the phone with Fernando, then met up with Xoch and we went out to Rainbow to get out groove on. I had a lot of fun, but I danced way too much and I wore a hole through the heel in my left sock and gave myself crazy blisters all over my feet. Sounds sexy, doesn’t it?
While I was dancing I saw Robert at the side of the dance floor. He was watching me and smiling. So I took a break and went to talk to him. He said he was going to be there the next night, so I was super excited.
I had a lot of fun dancing with Xoch and the boys, but that darn blister on my left heel was hurting me bad. I was certain that I was going to have a pool of blood in my boot by the end of the night. I wanted to end the pain, but you know I just don’t know when to stop dancing.
Amazingly there was no blood in my boot. I got to my vehicle and I took my boots off and drove home barefoot. I didn’t even put them back on when I parked at home. It the most excruciatingly painful walk up those three flights of stairs.

SUNDAY
Sunday morning I slept in again, but not quite as late. Xoch came over and we went for some BBQ. Shelly met up with us and we went to hang out at the pool. Who know such interesting people lived at my complex?
We were sitting in the corner cracking up at the dorks in the pool. It finally got so bad that we had to go to the other pool before people realized we were laughing at them. Also, I think the girls had to pee real bad and the other pool is the one with the restrooms.
After the pool experience the girls took off and I took a nap and completely skipped any 4th of July festivities. After the nap I went off to Rainbow for International night. I went by myself, and it was the first time ever that I’ve done that. I had a really good time, even though Mr DJ played mostly merengue. I don’t think he played one salsa all night, and that was what I really wanted to dance.
Robert did show up and we spent a long time chatting. He wasn’t at all what I expected, and I had completely misjudged him. I thought he was a wild 20 year old full of drama and issues, and I was WAY off. He’s 32! He looks very good for being 32, he seriously looks like he is 20 or less. He seemed like a really great guy.
I had a good time dancing with all my friends, but as always, it was WAY too hot in there. I was disgustingly sweaty and dripping everywhere. I had a blast dancing with Jimi, but I wish DJ had played some salsa so that I could have danced with Jose.
I was also surprised to see Jame and Ron (from bowling) at Rainbow, and even Larry was there.

MONDAY
Today I actually woke up kind of early, like at 9!!!! I met up with Gina and family and we went to spend the day at my parent’s house lounging at the pool. We stopped at the store to get some food and we barbecued first.
It was nice day of playing in the pool. I probably should have sat out in the sun a bit to get some color, but I stuck to my usual plan of hiding in the shade with my SPF 30. Skin cancer is no way to go.
This afternoon I’m just chilling out. I’m kind of tired from this long weekend and my feet and legs are still sore from all the dancing. I need a break from life for a bit.
