Today was such a dumb day at work. The phones were just dead. There was no need for four people to be there. It was a nice catch up day for me though.
We all got to chat and bond a little too. We all ordered lunch together form this Chinese restaurant. It was such an ordeal. First it was Chinese, then Mexican, then back to Chinese. Dale was freaking out because she’s pregnant and she was super hungry.
Lynn called me earlier in the day to ask for a ride home. Today was kind of her last day, but she was going to go back tomorrow to check on the house for them since they were going out of town. Well, her employers decided that they didn’t need her the extra day, and that they needed the car she was using. So that left without a ride home.
They told her to ask the executive assistant for a ride, but she said, “No. You’ll have to get a cab.” So Lynn called me, and I came to the rescue!
I left work at 2:30 so that I could go home and get a good workout in before I would have to pick up Lynn, and also because work was dead and I didn’t want to be there.
So I went to pick her up and was amazed by the house. I would have been a little intimidated working there. Their house is huge and in a very nice part of town. I was in awe. They had a separate part of the house that you could only really get to via elevator and there was this amazing view of downtown surrounded by even more huge mansions. Oh, and the Ferrari, and other cars, in the garage were quite nice too.
We went back to her place for a while, then went to A La Carrera to meet Rose for dinner. Lynn and I went off to the movies afterwards to see Fahrenheit 9/11. (see the Entertainment section of my site for more info)
So now I’m at home, chatting with Ryan, and soon I will be in bed asleep.
