I was supposed to go home yesterday and do laundry. Two things prevented this from happening; M.Lo and the fact that I had no laundry detergent.
M.Lo called and asked if I wanted to go running with her, so I decided that might be fun. I needed to work out anyways, so why not? I occupied myself at home until she got off work. For a while, I didn’t think I was going to go because it was raining so hard. What’s with this weather in Austin lately?
The rain calmed down, I drove over to her place to meet her, and we went to the fitness center to run on the treadmills. I did a pretty good run and I was amazed at myself for not being more tired. I tried to do the stair stepper and the bicycle but their equipment is weird and it wasn’t working out for me.
So we ditched and went to get something to eat at Antonio’s. They have pretty good Mexican food, but please tell me why beef, chicken, and cheese enchiladas are all the same price. Secondly, why is that price $7.15? Mexican food should be cheap! It’s so cheap and easy to make!
We spent the time at the dinner table discussing all kinds of junk, and made fun of the Lesbians at the table next to us. I went back to her place after dinner and helped her fix her computer. She wanted me to help her add some extra attachment onto her desk, but she didn’t have the bolts, so we went off to Home Depot.
I swear it’s like we’re 12 years old when we get together. We couldn’t stop laughing at everything. She’s 28 and I’m 29 and yet playing “I’ll race you to the car”, seems totally normal.
Hanging out with her was just what I needed. Sometimes you just need that dumb mindless fun. I also think the running on the treadmill did some good. I feel a little refreshed now.
I got home around 9:30 and I chatted on the phone with Sammy, then went to bed.
