Ok, let’s start with Saturday night. Sammy and I met up at Trudy’s and waited for Gina, Hugo, and Hugo’s friend. When we came in I noticed Eric S over by the bar having drinks with friends.
I called Eric over to chat for a bit. He’s such a nice guy. I really hope that the summer bowling league is teams of four so that he can be on our team, or at least he can be on our team in the fall season.
Anyways, so Gina and Hugo finally showed up much later. We had drinks and just sat around chatting. Sammy and I were trying to figure out if we wanted to do something later, like go out, but it just didn’t seem to be happening.
I was so tired. I just ended up going home and going to bed.
Sunday was a total waste of a day, but in the good way. I spent the entire day doing nothing but sleeping and watching TV. It was nice to have a day to kill without feeling guilty about wasting my weekend away. Having four days off makes for such a great weekend.
Later Sunday evening Sammy came over and we watched Stuck on You. The movie wasn’t great, but it had it’s hilarious moments. There were a few times we laughed pretty hard, and one time we had to hit the rewind to laugh again.
Sammy went out with me to Rainbow for International Night. I don’t really understand why they call it International Night, when it’s all about the Spanish music. They need to just call it Latino Night. Anyways… so Sammy went with me.
The bar was pretty busy when we got there, which surprised me. I’m used to it being dead until about 11:30. I guess it was busier because of Splash weekend and everyone having Memorial Day off.
We went to the back bar to see if Norbert was working, and of course to laugh at him and his failure. Yup, we’re mean like that. He was working and he was not amused by our presence.
Sammy and I were checking out the crowd, and I started spotting all the ex’s in the room. Before the night was over I’d end up seeing five of them: Rene, Jimi, Adam, Noe, and Ivan.
Rene was the only one that really disturbed me. He was standing so close to us and Sammy spotted him trying to come over and talk to me at one point. We moved away from him but he ended up coming over to talk to me anyway.
I thought that maybe enough time had passed (two years) that he’d given up on me and just leave me alone, but no. He came over and said, “I know you saw me but I guess you weren’t going to approach me.” Yeah, duh!
Then he started telling me all about his problems and some how transitioned into, “You always put your friends over me and I didn’t like that.” We only dated for less than TWO months and he’s pulling that out? Come on!
Yeah, so he started trying to tell me how we were in different places back then and we should give it a try again. I cut him off quickly there and informed him that there would be no more tries.
Just about then, Sammy asked if I wanted to walk around (trying to rescue me) and I said yes. Rene says to me, “Oh well I guess you don’t want to talk to me anymore.” I tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Yup, that’s right. Have a good night.”
I wasn’t nearly as freaked out by him as I used to be. He was such a scary stalker. He still scares me, but at least this time he didn’t grab my wrist to restrain me, hit me, or cry.
He’s been living in San Antonio for the past year and a half, but he’s moving either back to Austin or to Florida. Let’s all hope that he ends up in Florida. I don’t need to be seeing this boy around anymore.
Ok, now on to the good stuff. Sammy and I spotted this hot hot hot little brown boy walking by and I told Sammy that I definitely needed to ask that boy to dance later on.
A little while later he walked by and winked at me, so I followed him and asked him to dance. He is all the hotness. We started dancing and we were both looking at each other with that intense way and the dancing got closer and closer and closer… so close that apparently our lips bumped into each other.
So the dancing kind of subsided and the kissing began. Yup, that’s right. Tom was shamelessly kissing a stranger on the dance floor again. He was such a phenomenal kisser. His lips were so soft and tender, and he knew exactly what he was doing.
Gina and Hugo showed up seriously late. I mean, we agreed to meet at 10:30 and I don’t think they arrived until midnight. Now, I know she’s on brown people time and all, but that’s way late. I expected her there by at least 11:15 or 11:30 at the latest.
I danced with Gina a little, but not enough. Hugo didn’t dance at all, which surprised me. Him and his friend just stood around silently watching the crowd.
I was trying to point out my new little hottie friend to Gina and I kept trying to describe him and point him out verbally and then this guy walks by and points right at him and says, “Lady, even I saw who he was talking about and I’m just walking by.”
So I went to ask Hotboy (name removed to protect the guilty) to dance again, and we just ended up kissing again… and a lot.
After dancing with him I went back to Gina and Hugo for a while. I went walking around to find Hotboy to give him my number, but he was on the dance floor. So I went to ask Jose to dance. That boy is pretty sexy too.
It was so much fun to be able to dance Salsa, Merengue, and Cumbia with someone that actually knows what they are doing. He was amazing with the dance moves. He was surprised that I knew how to dance to that music, which I thought was funny because I could swear we’ve done it before?
I left from dancing with him and my abs were sore. That’s salsa is a great workout! I miss doing that so much. I may have to start going regularly on Sunday nights because I enjoy it so much.
I love dancing to that kind of music, and that is totally my kind of crowd. To Sammy it was hell, but to me it’s paradise. We ended up leaving early because Gina got in trouble with her husband for dancing with Noe without telling him first.
Oh, as I left Jose and the dance floor, I slipped Hotboy my phone number. I hope he calls me, but now I’m thinking the chances are slim. I didn’t even ask him if he was from here. It’s splash weekend! He could be from anywhere. That would so suck. He’s so cute, and he spoke English… FLUENTLY… like it was his first language!
So Sammy and I left when Gina left and we stopped to get some food and went back to my place to crash. And for all of you dirty minds out there, Sammy slept on the couch bed.
