I called in sick to work today. I had every intention to go to work, but it just wasn’t going to happen.
Let’s start from the beginning. I went to work out last night, and then spent the rest of the evening bumming around watching TV. It’s so nice to be relaxing lately. I feel like I’m finally starting to get over being so exhausted.
I went to bed kind of early, after I read some more of my book. I took a sleeping pill because I have been having problems staying asleep at night.
Apparently that sleeping pill worked TOO good. I went to bed at 10:30 and I didn’t even hear my cell (right next to my bed) ring at 11:14. Then when I woke up, I couldn’t function.
I was so tired and it was that weird drugged up kind of sleepy too. I knew there was no way I could get to work and function. I called in, then got back in bed to sleep off that pill.
I didn’t get out of bed until 11. Isn’t that insane? What’s even weirder is that I only took half a pill and it’s never had that strong of an effect on me before.
So today I have been laying around and watching TV. I just got back from Target, where I went to buy some blank CD’s. I got overcharged for them as well.
I’m so annoyed about it. The sign said 30 CD’s for $9. The cashier seemed a bit off, but I couldn’t tell what it was. Then he rang me up with a total of like $14.06. What? No.
I explained to Mr. Off Cashier that the sign said $9. He breaks out his sale flier and holds it one inch from his face as he scans the pages for my CD’s.
HE’S BLIND!
Ok, I’m all for hiring the handicap, challenged, retarded, whatever. Just put them in positions where there challenges won’t interfere. That is a huge pet peeve of mine.
Like when the person at the drive through doesn’t speak English. No. It’s hard enough to understand someone through the drive through speaker, don’t make it worse by putting someone on it that doesn’t speak English.
And don’t put the blind guy at the register! He ended up having to go ask Mr. Manager. Then he came back and rang me up and I didn’t notice until I got out of the parking lot that he charged me $9.99 instead of $9. I am SUPER annoyed.
It’s just $1, but it’s the principle.
Oh! Not too mention that I went to target to by a CD, El General. I walked through the music section looking for the Musica en Espanol section, but they didn’t have one! Freaking racist Target!
Ugggh.. is this my bad Karma for calling in sick to work?
Anyways… I must burn CD’s now.
