Last night was the little party my sister and I had for the Friends Finale. We made chocolate and cheese fondue, and we drank Cosmopolitans and Raspberry Martinis. I had tried one Chocolate Martini, and it was good, but it was getting me way buzzed.

I had arrived a little early to help make all the stuff and get ready, and Michelle’s friend Liz was there as well. We started drinking right away and I was getting myself a pretty good buzz going. I hadn’t eaten much so it was hitting me pretty fast.

We had some issues with the fondue. I should have brought my instruction book because we didn’t really know what to do, and we couldn’t get the flame right. We had some burn problems and such. We eventually got everything right, but it took a while.

I should have used something other than Swiss cheese to mix with the Fontina because Swiss doesn’t melt so well. The fontina melted really well, the Swiss stayed gooey and clumpy. The chocolate came out perfect though.

Liz was challenging me to try just about anything in the cheese, such as apples and strawberries. Let me just warn you now… strawberries and cheese fondue is a major fonDON’T. That was nasty and I wanted to vomit. The apples didn’t go with it either, but it was definitely less painful than the strawberries.

Just about all of my friends flaked on coming. M.Lo had some school function for J.Lo, so she couldn’t come. I knew Leo wouldn’t show because he doesn’t do social situations. Jimi canceled because he said he couldn’t do crowds right now, yet he had planned to go out clubbing tonight. Kristi used the “having to work late” excuse.

So at the last minute I called and invited Jorge. I would have invited him earlier, but I thought things would be weird if him and Leo actually showed up. It wouldn’t be weird for me, but for them. I knew Jorge wouldn’t have anything going on, so I called him… and he did show up.

Michelle’s friends showed up, Vannezsa, Ryan, and Liz. Ryan is her younger gay friend, who happens to be adorable… but only 19.

The episode wasn’t that great, but it was definitely better than the Seinfeld finale. I think it kind of sucks that they didn’t really show how things were going to transition with Joey, and Phoebe was kind of left hanging too.

After the party, I went home and talked to Jorge on his cell up until midnight, then went to bed.
