Kristi and I went shopping at Target before our workout last night. I got some great deals. I bought 5 frames, a bottled water, and a Sprite Remix for $23. Three of the frames that I bought were large wall frames. I think I might go back during lunch and buy two more. They were all on clearance for like $3!
After that, we went to 24Hour Fitness because we were planning on taking the Hip Hop class together. We walked in the room and didn’t see the instructor, but I heard the familiar sounds of the not so rare Central Texas homo.
I looked around the room and spotted him in the corner, messing with the stereo equipment, a popular past time with this species. At that time I ascertained that he must be the instructor of the class. He was a nice specimen, with strong legs and a broad chest.
Class began, and Kristi soon realized that she was out of her element. She decided that she would go walk the track and do some weights instead. I was tempted to leave as well, but was having a good time and decided to try it a little longer.
He was teaching a little too fast. I’m used to dance teachers doing about 4 steps at a time, this guy was doing like 16. I don’t think I ever fully caught all the moves, but I did ok. Kristi said I did really good (she was watching for a bit), but I think she was just being nice.
The things I didn’t like about the class, besides that he went too fast, were that the music was too fast for the steps, and the dance moves were pretty outdated. He also kept stopping to take breaks and that was pissing me off. He’d take a break just when I was starting to catch.
If he had played some old school rap, it would have been easier to dance along with. Instead he played high energy club music. How does that go with Hip Hop dance moves, especially outdated dance moves?
Anyways… It was fun, and a good workout. I get a better workout at Charlie’s or Rainbow, but this was still good.
