Yesterday… hmmm… work dragged on for like four days in the afternoon, which is really weird since the morning went by like two hours.
I left work and went directly to Leo’s house to hang out. I had originally planned to take some books and just go sit at the airport and wait for Kristi, but realized it was a great opportunity to see Leo instead. Interestingly enough, we didn’t exactly spend time hanging out. We chatted for a bit, then cuddled up on the couch and napped until it was time for me to leave.
I decided not to park because I got there just as her plane should have been landing, so I had to circle the airport like six times. The security guards were starting to give me the eye. I was sure they were about to pull me over and detain me for acts of terrorism. I’m sure they see people looping every day, but still, you never know.
I didn’t really mind circling, I was enjoying my Mariah Carey’s #1’s CD. I forget how much I like some of her old stuff. I’m so used to thinking of her as a trampy whore now, that I forget she used to put out some good music. I wish she’d go back to being the Mariah she was when she sang “Vision of Love”.
Kristi didn’t get in my vehicle until 7:25, so that put us in quit a rush to get something to eat and be at the bowling alley by 8:30. We didn’t have time to stop for anything nice, so we just stopped at Taco Bell. It was good to get some food in that women’s stomach because she had been drinking on the flight, and also had some drinks at the airport before during layover. The poor girl was super stressed and nervous about some things.
Bowling was actually fun for me this week. I spent a lot of time socializing and not really caring too much about the bowling. I ended up bowling the highest score (for my team) in the first game, the lowest in the second game, and then the second highest in the third game(down by 6 points). I bowled 170 in the third game! That’s my highest score to date. Go me! I think I finally figured out what form works for me. Yay for learning that 3 weeks until the end of the season.
So I spent time chatting with the Lesbian team. I can’t wait to play them again. They are so much fun! They happened to be playing next to Steve’s team. He’s the boy that I let lead me on the dance floor Saturday, so I chatted with him and his team for a while too. Wade was celebrating his birthday, so we went down there to get some cake, and we chatted with him for a while.
Later I went to talk to Brian (way on the other end) and ended up getting picked up and given a piggy back ride on James. That was hilarious! I had to talk to Brian about the summer league. It turns out that it’s going to be on Tuesdays again, and it will only be three people per team. So I guess it’s officially going to be me, Kristi, and my sister. We’re going to have so much fun.
Frank and I finally made friendly. He hasn’t been very social to my team at all during the season, and finally last night he started talking to me, and even coaching me on.
At one point I almost accidentally bowled on the wrong lane again (yeah, it happens) and he yelled out my name and caught me in time. It’s pretty funny that he noticed from four lanes over, and he was actually up to bowl too.
We lost our first two games by almost a hundred points, but we pulled out in the third and won it by almost two hundred. How does that happen? Then, because the other team was missing a person, we managed to get more pins down than them, which means we won overall pins…. meaning we won the match. So we get three points and they get four. Yay for extra points!
During all three games I had Mariah Carey’s song, Always Be My Baby, stuck in my head. It was driving me crazy, but here I am still listening to it again this morning.
Ok, now it is time to go get water and get to work.
