Friday, after work, I went to pick up Sammy, then picked up Xoch, and went to Vertigo to shop for hats. I took my black rhinestoned hat in to get it repainted and shaped up, but that didn’t end up happening. She didn’t think it was worth fixing up because it had grown some mold in it and she didn’t think I should wear it anymore.
How did it grow mold? Well, let me tell you. I dance so much that I am drenched in sweat, then I go and through it in the closet, and I guess this last time it was too wet and not enough airflow in the closet, so it grew some mold. Gross right?
Well, I ended up buying a new hat (picture coming soon) and I love it! At first I didn’t like it, but she convinced me to try it on and I fell in love. She (Laurie, the owner) had sent me an e-mail telling me that she thought I would look really good in a “Hank” style hat and she had one already shaped and picked out for me.
She did a little re-shaping on the back and the sides and it was perfect. It’s totally cute. So I bought that hat and took my old one home with me. Sam and Xoch also bought hats. Xoch actually bought two! Sam looks great in his hat. We’re all going to be so cute in our hats at the Tim McGraw concert on the 10th!
There was this mega hunky white boy in the store chatting up Laurie and we were all in love with him. He had a perfect smile and a body to die for. He even said “ma’am”. Too cute!
After the hat shopping, we dropped off Xoch at home and then went to have dinner at El Chile. I love that place! They have the best prickly pear margaritas! Sam and I got stuck sitting next to some big table with the most evil bitch. She was throwing a fit about everything!
We even heard her call the waiter over and say, “Where are our drinks… and all that? We’ve been waiting like fifteen f&@#ing minutes for them!” She was beyond rude! I so hope he spit in her drinks. Later she decided her table wasn’t being cleaned up fast enough, so she got up and took her own empty plates to the kitchen. We were hating on her big time! There’s no excuse for treating wait staff like that, or anyone else. They should have just thrown her out.
After dinner we went to Dolce Vita for some ice cream and coffee, well… Sam had coffee. As we sat on the patio, I notice Sylvia and Rey standing in the parking lot. The last time we ate over there we also saw them. So we chatted with them for a bit and then we headed over to Club Deville for some cocktails.
We only had one drink each because the margaritas at El Chile had already got me a little buzzed, and the drinks and Deville were pushing us over the limit. We sat out there for a while chatting, then I took Sammy home and I went back to my place to go to bed!
Today, M.Lo called me as soon as I got up and we decided to go have lunch together. We had lunch at El Mercado, then went shopping for pots for some new plants she bought. We ran all over town, from Smith and Hawken, to Home Depot, to Target, and to Lowes.
This guy at Lowes was totally checking M.Lo out, so I started getting all cozy with her and pretending she was my girlfriend. We love to mess with each other in public, and embarrass each other. I put my arm around her and tried to put my hand on her butt, so she pushed me away and said (loudly, I might add), “Quit it! You don’t even like girls, you like boys!”
It was ON at that point. So I started calling her Pookie and Honey constantly and hanging all around her when guys went by. I wanted to make sure everyone knew she was MINE! Bwa hahahahahahaha
Anyways… so she bought some cute pots and then went back to her place to pot them. I helped her hang her pots, plant the plants in the pots, and clean up her balcony. We made it look so nice and relaxing out there. I was really proud of our efforts!
She came back to my place with me and we had a nice glass of wine and hung out for a bit, and that brings me to now. She just left and I’m moving on to my next adventure. I need to start getting ready for the party tonight. I also need to eat something! This wine is kicking my butt!
