I’m outraged that the parents are making such a big deal about it. If it is something you don’t agree with because of your religion, then explain that to your child and move on.
Just because it’s two boys in love, people think that children won’t understand. Do they understand why men like women? No. Would you feel the need to explain that to them? No! So why bother explaining why boys like boys?
All you have to say is, “This boy doesn’t like girls, he likes boys, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not something our faith believes in.” It’s as simple as that, and then you move on.
I’m so outraged! I wish I could write to these parents, because I seriously would.
