I still have no home phone or DSL, so I can’t make posts on the weekend. Not that I really would have had time anyway. I’ve been keeping really busy.
Friday I spent the afternoon doing some stuff to clean up the place. I had plans to meet Sam. Chad called me to invite me to go to dinner and Target with him and Tramp Nasty. I declined because I already had plans.
I ended up going to the Oasis for dinner and made the mistake of sitting outside. It was so chilly out there and neither of us had a jacket. We had fun though, just chatting and catching up on life and stuff.
Afterwards, I just worked on my apartment some more and tried to keep occupied. I had thought “N” was coming over, because I had thought we had made plans earlier in the day, but apparently there was some miscommunication.
Sammy had invited me to go out with him, but I was real tired. I didn’t think I was going to go, but then when the time rolled around I had too much energy and I knew I would fall asleep.
I was wrong. Once I got out, I was so tired. I met Sammy at Rainbow, with Aaron. I danced with Aaron once, and it was fun. We’ll have to do it again when both of us are wearing more suitable shoes.
We all headed over to Charlie’s, where it was massively packed. Sammy and I tried to dance but the B.O. factor was assaulting our noses, and I just couldn’t get into the groove.
We wandered around for a bit, and I ended up seeing “N”, so I pulled him over to us. He had been wandering around looking for me because he thought I had made plans to meet him there. I don’t know how we messed up so much on those plans.
The three of us danced for a bit, but I just wasn’t feeling it, and I could tell Sammy wasn’t either. He ended up taking off and I stayed with “N”. I didn’t really start feeling it until they played Thalia. That totally energized me!
I love that feeling when you are in the zone on the dance floor, the music is awesome, and the crowd is singing along with the music. There this energy that I can’t explain, and it totally energizes me. I can only imagine that it’s that same kind of energy (on a lesser scale) that people talk about when they perform on stage.
Saturday morning “N” and I went to Super Target to do some shopping. I was having one of those days where I can’t help but be a klutz. It started when I was being over to put something in the trash. On the way down I ended up slamming my head into the corner of a cabinet. I still have a nice big gash in the middle of my head, that hurts like crazy.
Later, on the way to take a shower, I almost slipped and died on the rug. I then put rug pads on my shopping list for Target. While “N” and I were at Target, I was slamming my cart into everyone we passed by. He told me that I push a cart just like I drive, CRAZY.
We were about to go down this aisle that had a lady with a cane, and he made me go down a different one instead. He was worried that I’d take down the little old lady. Then in the parking lot I almost backed into a passing car. Later that day I was carrying Gina’s baby down the stairs at my apartment and I scraped my knuckles on the wall. It was not a pleasurable feeling.
Ok, so later in the day Sabrina, Gina, Sammy, Rose came over to hang out with “N” and I. We had invited Kristi too, but she was not feeling very well. We had pizza, played games, and just hung out for a while.
Everyone (except “N”) left at the same time, then “N” and I cuddled up on the couch watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Sunday and I went shopping at the mall and downtown. I was looking to buy a messenger bag, but I was having problems finding one. I called Sammy and he pointed me in the right direction. I bought my bag, then “N” and I went to Rose’s place to hang out with her and Sam for a bit.
Later we went back to my place, then went to the movies with Kristi. We went to see “Love Actually” again. “N” had never seen it, Kristi had seen it once, and I had seen it twice.
After the movie, we all went to Tony Roma’s because Kristi knows the owner. Unfortunately the grill was already closed so we just left. None of us were hungry anyway, Kristi just wanted us to meet her friend, and we were all having a good time together.
So… that was my weekend.
