Yesterday, after work, I went to the apartment office to trade in my gate remote for a remote that opens my garage and the gate. I love having my own personal garage space!

Then I went home and moved some boxes down to the garage. I didn’t want them up in my apartment cluttering things up. It was so much work! I was cursing those three flights of stairs.

Kristi came over while I was rearranging stuff in the apartment and we headed off to Target to do some shopping. I needed to buy a trashcan for my kitchen and my bathroom, because I hate the old ones. I wanted those silver kinds that you step on the button and the top opens.

I also needed a rug, a furniture marker to cover scratches, a key holder, and silverware holder for the drawer. I was dreading spending that much money, but it had to be done.

I found the trashcans and they were crazy expensive, but then I found my match! There was one that was $29.99 and it had a mini trashcan inside it! Two for the price of one! It was perfect. I found an awesome key holder that holds mail as well, but I did not find a rug. I got a perfect silverware tray too!

After Target we went to Tony Roma’s for dinner. Kristi and I were having so much fun together. We had made plans to practice bowling after the movies, but by the time we got home to get our bowling balls and shoes, we gave up.

We went back up to my place and she helped me rearrange and redecorate. I’m still not totally happy with it, but it’s getting there. I need to buy some new frames and a few other things to brighten things up. Some plants would help too. I need to move those over from the old apartment this week, or weekend.

After she left, I hung some things up and finished setting up my bedroom. It’s looking so much nicer now, but I’m having a hard time getting used to having so much space. I am too accustomed to be cramped up, like in a sardine can.

Tonight I’m going to try to move some empty boxes down to the garage so that I can take them to the dumpster later.

Something to say?
