Last night I went home and tried “Plan B” to remove the background on my photos for my website. Plan B consists of having the photos printed out, cutting out the background with scissors, then rescanning them how I want them. It may work, but I haven’t finished enough of them to try it yet.

I went to meet Sammy at home and we went to dinner at this gourmet sandwich shop on Barton Springs. Later you will see us in the pictures of the place on www.citysearch.com. Yeah, cuz we’re that cool.

We then headed over to Oil Can Harry’s, in an attempt to be different and not go to Charlie’s. I was quite surprised with Oil Can’s. They removed a lot of stuff to make room for more people. That’s always been my biggest complaint with the place, there’s not room to move in there. Although, no amount of space will make up for the fact that I generally don’t like the people there.

We hung out for a bit, then decided to go to Charlie’s. Yep that’s us, bar hoping on a Thursday at 7:30ish. Don’t judge us! We sat at the bar and made fun of the strippers and checked out the cute new barback for a while, then went to play pool. Little did we know what a disaster that would turn out to be.

Sammy and I both sent a ball flying off the table. I’m sure everyone does that occasionally! We played two games just the two of us, then some sugar daddy and his Philippino houseboy came over and wanted to play doubles.

We tried to get out of it, but they wouldn’t have any of that. So there we stood, getting shamed by two pool sharks. When Sammy and I play, we aim for a ball and if we accidentally knock another one of ours in, we still count it and keep going. We’re thrilled to have hit anything in… even if it’s the white one.

When these guys play, they have to point out which ball they are going to hit and which hole it’s going to go in. I’m like, “Yeah.. don’t be bragging just cuz you know how to aim!”

Then if they get one in, but it wasn’t the one they called, they forfeit their turn. No ma’am. What fun is that. I wanted to go up there and just say, “I’m going to hit whichever ball I hit, and it, or one of the others, is going to maybe go in one of these six holes.. k?”

The first game wasn’t so bad. The second game, the Philippino guy broke and then went on to hit every one of his balls into the pockets but one. Isn’t that nice to start your turn off already behind by 5 balls?

Then the during the next game Sammy managed to knock the 8 ball in accidentally, and nobody noticed. It wasn’t until several turns later when Philippino was taking his turn that I blurted out, “Hey! Where did the black one go?” I couldn’t even be smart enough to say “8 ball”. Geez!

Unluckily for us, a random stranger had noticed Sammy sinking the ball, so we were further shamed again! We continued to play anyway and still lost. How sad are we?

What I don’t get is why these two wanted to play us? They were obviously leaps and bounds better. I asked Philippino if they played pool pretty often and he tried to lie to me, “No, not really.” Whatever!

I’m only referring to the guy as Philippino because the Sugar Daddy guy asked us (while there was Karaoke going on in the background), “Do you guys karaoke?” We said no, and then he said something like, “He’s really good at it, he’s Philippino.”

Then we finally finished we were heading to the main bar when Hottie Bartender Ryand walked by us and winked at me. So we followed him out to the patio bar and sat at his bar.

Sammy decided to drink water, and I just sat and admired the view. Sammy got a pic of Ryand on his phone.

We sat out there chatting with him and watching those extreme Japanese games shows on the Spike channel.

We ended up leaving the bar at 10. I didn’t get to bed until 11:30 and today I am exhausted. I totally forgot that I have a hair appointment tomorrow at 9:30. Arrrgghh! I’m going to need to take a long nap tonight.

I’m going to ask “N” to go on a road trip with me tomorrow. I need to go out to my parent’s house and get all of my empty boxes and bubble wrap out of storage. They will be in Mexico, so I don’t have to do the introducing thing yet.

It will be a fun trip though. Saturday night we’re all going to RCC. I’m super excited about that.

Something to say?
