I went shopping for a digital camera after work on Friday. I had found the one I wanted for a great price at Wal-Mart. It was supposed to be $258. So I get to Wal-Mart and I find the camera, only it’s $299. What?

So I ask the salesboy why it’s not cheaper, like on the website and he tells me some junk about how they sell things cheaper on the web and they don’t necessarily match the price in the store. DARN! So I leave all pissed off. On the way out of the store I ask them if they do price matching and they say yes.

Unfortunately it has to be an advertised price from a local store, be in stock, and not from the web. Darn again! So I head over to Circuit City to see if I can find another good deal on a camera. The salesgirl was very knowledgeable and she helped me pick out a great camera for a pretty good price.

After that I went home to play with my new camera and set it up. I wasn’t feeling very well, so I just hung around the house and went to bed early.

Today I got up late because I felt HORRIBLE. I thought I was dying… ok not that bad, but close. I knew I had stuff to do, so I got up, showered, shaved, and got dressed. I headed out to find a birthday present for Rose.

I looked everywhere and kept coming up with nothing. SO disappointed in my shopping skills today. I tried Pottery Barn, Pier 1, Restoration Hardware, Smith and Hawken, and Williams-Sonoma. I did run into Scott Colter at Restoration Hardware. He used to work at ASA when I volunteered there, now he works at Restoration Hardware. It was nice seeing him.

I tried to find something to wear tonight at Express Men, but they are in the weird transition phase between seasons, and have NOTHING going on. I’ll just dig something up from my closet.

I ended up going to Whole Foods and buying Rose a bunch of flowers. I put them in a cute little vase and arranged them all pretty. (Click to view larger)

Now I’m at home resting and I’ll probably stay here until it’s time to meet up with the gang at Rose’s around 9:30 tonight. Then we will head out to celebrate. I just really hope the smoke doesn’t get to me and make me more ill.

Something to say?
