Our bowling scores are set back to zero now, but just the team score, not our handicap. So we start building our points over again for the second half. After last night, we’ll be starting off with five points instead of the max seven.
We won the first game, even though we were doing so bad. We lost the second game by five points, which really hurts. We didn’t really even get into that game until we noticed we might lose it. After that, we were pumped up and we won the third game.
Chad mentioned that nobody is friendly with us anymore. It’s like all the teams hate us now. All I could say was, “It’s always loneliest at the top.” It really doesn’t bother me. I’m not there for them. I signed up to have a good time with my friends.
One of the guys from our opposing team came over to talk to us. He told us that he had been waiting all season to meet us and play us. He was all excited about it, and friendly even. Kristi told him she was surprised because everyone hates us and he said, “Well… I don’t hate you.” Later he said his team hated us. Thanx, that’s lovely.
One of his other team members came over asking, “So how big is it?” Then went on and on about how big our handicap was and how that was the reason we were winners. Oh, he so got on my nerves. It’s not like his team had a small handicap.
Later he came over to make fun of me because I always tell each of my team members they did a good job after every turn. He said, “You’re confusing them. You say good job when they get a strike, and good job when they get a gutter ball.”
I said, “As long as they tried their hardest, it is a good job. ” He said, “Well, you got me there. You’re right.” He didn’t have anything else to say. Dumbass. I told him that I cheer for them as positive reinforcement and support, and that’s what matters.
Sammy called me during the first game to wish me luck and tell me that I was the best gay bowler. He was off partying with Rose and Matty. I wish I could have been there.
Today I’m leaving at 11 or 12, I haven’t decided yet. I’ll probably stay until 12.
