Friday Sammy and I had dinner and drinks at Manuel’s and had a fabulous time. Then we came back to my place, he had some cigarettes and we watched Friends. The rain provided a little comic relief. Why does everything always go wrong when it’s pouring outside?
Saturday I got up late and spent the day shopping on South Congress with M.Lo. She needed to find an outfit for her date later that night. We did a lot of walking that day! Too much walking, if I do say so. We walked all the way from Goody Two Shoes to Gossip only to find out that Gossip quit selling clothes and had to walk back. Not cool!
M.Lo couldn’t find anything she could buy at any of the shops on S Congress, so we went to Emeralds and everything turned out great. She bought a really cute outfit, with one small problem. The pants were obviously made for a tall white girl, not a short Mexican. They needed to be hemmed and we didn’t have that kind of time.
Well… actually we did. I ended up pressing her pants and hemming them while she got ready for her date. Who knew I knew how to hem? I did it and it looked great. Go me. I’m bombtastic!
Saturday night I went out to Charlie’s with Sammy and we were later joined by Blaine, Brent, Brandon, and Nick. I had no boys at Charlie’s that night. No boys! What’s up with that? The place was actually kind of dead.
I shamelessly flirted with Brenna’s boyfriend, bartender Ryand, who once again asked me my name and for the first time ever, shamelessly flirted back. Shame on me.
The boys left kind of early and the place was dead, so Sammy and I split and went to Taco Cabana for some breakfast.
Sunday I got up super late again. I spent the day grocery shopping… literally. I went to Whole Foods and tried to get my shop on, but it was not happening. I will never again venture into that store during daylight hours. It’s crazy! That place is all too small for the amount of people trying to be up in there shopping. I was ready to start ramming people with my cart.
So I got a few things at the Whole Foods, then went over to the HEB to finish my shopping at the regular grocery store. It was still a little busy over there, but so much less stressful.
Later on I went over to Rose’s to have dinner with Sammy and Kelly. We hung around chatting while Rose knitted a scarf… sounds fascinating doesn’t it? It actually was fun. I learned a few scandalous things about some people. Now, that IS fascinating, isn’t it?
So then I went home and read some of my book while I waited for Gina and Sabrina to come by so that we could go to Rainbow for International night.
I had so much fun last night at Rainbow Cattle Company. At first I was worried it would suck horribly because the place was kind of empty, but around 11:15 it got packed, and quite instantly I might add. It was like we turned around and suddenly the place was full. I love that.
“N” showed up and we spent most of the night dancing together. I danced with Gina a few times too. Sabrina was a bit harder to get out on the dance floor, but she eventually made it.
DJ was playing great music, and all of my favorites. The only bad thing about DJ is that he has no idea how to blend from one song to the next, it’s very choppy. He plays good stuff though, so I’ll forgive him for that.
It was nice to see all of my boys out… even though I didn’t dance with any of them. Jimi was there looking cute as usual. Mario showed up and invited me to his birthday party.
I’m stunned that I’m actually wide awake and at work, and even more so that I got here at 6:55.
