My New Years started off at a party at the Riverlodge Clubhouse with Chad, Rupert, Kristi, Gabby, Jimmy, and some other people. I ended up having the bestest time. Yeah, that’s right… the bestest.
Not that many people showed up to the party, but then not that many people were invited. Chad’s friend Jimmy came down from Dallas.
Jimmy took some great pictures, and I hope he remembers to e-mail them to me. There’s a funny one of me in the kitchen, talking on my cell, with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I don’t even smoke, I never inhale, I just like blowing smoke out of my mouth.
After midnight we decided to go downtown to Oil Can Harry’s to finish ringing in the New Year. Normally I hate that stuck up honky establishment, but I was in a good mood and it sounded like fun to me. So Leo left in his car, and everyone else (Jimmy, Chad, and Rupert) piled up in mine.
We got to Oil Can’s and Jimmy and I ditched and headed to the dance floor. We spent most of the time dancing. I also saw Adam and Jay there.
After OIl Can’s, I dropped everyone off at Chad’s, and I went back to my place.
Sammy called me early that next morning to invite me to brunch, but I already had plans. I was surprised that I was literate enough, and awake enough to talk to him. I had only had about 5 hours of sleep, and we all know I need my full 8 to function properly.
Around 11:30 Xoch showed up and we went to lunch at PF Changs. We exchanged our Christmas presents and chit chatted. I told her about my drama filled night. She laughed and said that it was expected of me. Yeah yeah, whatever. I started the year with a bang.
After lunch I went to hang out with M.Lo for a bit, then went to see Sammy. We went to the movies to see Love Actually. I had already seen it, but Sammy had not. That movie is so awesome.
After the movie we went Taco Cabana for dinner, and then I went home and read a book, or actually some of a book… I didn’t finish it.
